NO SPECIAL SESSION TO OVERRIDE VETOES!
www.hawaiifamilyforum.org
Speaker Calvin Say announced today that the House will not convene a Special Session to override any of the Governor’s VETOs. Unless both houses agree to meet there can be no special session and there will be none on July 6. Praise the Lord! Now the decision rests squarely with the Governor.
Therefore, we will not be gathering at 9:00 a.m. to fill the House gallery but instead, will gather for prayer on the fifth floor, at noon in front of the Governor’s office, regardless of her decision.
We will still gather to pray for peace and blessings for Governor Linda Lingle and the Legislature as well as the state of Hawaii and our nation. It will be a time for quiet reflection, praise and thanksgiving. Join us for this assembly of the faithful.
Please remember to wear white and your iVOTE button. (We will have some available for distribution.)
PRAY! Please continue to lift up in prayer Governor Linda Lingle Pray that she will have wisdom, discernment and conviction to do what is right.
Please ask your church and pastor to call for prayer for the sake of Hawaii’s families and to celebrate our nation’s birth on the fourth of July with a commitment to PROTECT THE VALUE OF TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE AND FAMILIES.
PEACEFUL GATHERING: This has been an emotional and contentious issue but we must not react with pride, anger or vindictiveness. Let us continue to show Christ’s love to all. Again, no matter what the outcome, please remember to be a witness to Jesus at all times.
BE RESOLVED to be active, committed and to make a difference in the upcoming elections… Visit the Hawaii Family Forum website for further actions on the iVOTE intiative.
We continue to thank God for you and pray for each and every one of you.

SA: Veto override session dead
Editor's Note: Either the gay lobby overstepped by personally attacking Hawaii business leaders OR Calvin Say is trying to protect members of his faction's majority from ballot-box backlash so he can remain Speaker.
