Petranik, Napier tackle tough issues facing isle businesses
From Grassroot Institute of Hawaii
Two of Hawaii’s top business journalists Steve Petranik, editor of Hawaii Business Magazine, and Kam Napier, editor-in-chief of the Pacific Business News, share their insights about Hawaii's business climate at a gathering Oct. 23, sponsored by the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii.
The pau hana gathering was at Impact Hub Honolulu in Kakaako and attended by a diverse crowd interested in hearing from Petranik and Napier about ways the state's business climate might be improved. Moderated by Keli'i Akina, Grassroot Institute of Hawaii president, the discussion makes clear that there are many variables involved, ranging from actual regulatory and financial conditions to simply perceptions that might not be true.
