Hawaii is the worst state for single women—Wahiawa is best city in Hawaii for single women

…We considered a lot of criteria for this one in order to get the best, most complete results possible. Using the 2013-2017 American Community Survey Census data, we looked at every single city in the nation with a minimum population of 5,000. We paid particular attention to:

  • Population density
  • % of population that’s male vs. female (closer to a 50-50 ratio is better)
  • Median age
  • Number of unmarried people in each city
  • Bars per capita
  • Farmers markets per capita

We predicted that a combination of demographics with the numbers per capita of cool places such as bars and farmer’s markets to hang out and meet people would give us the most comprehensive list of cities….

2019’s Best & Worst States for Women

In 2019, women in some parts of America still get the short end of the stick — even as they outnumber men in most states. For instance, women represent nearly two-thirds of all minimum-wage workers in the U.S. Their political representation also suffers, as women make up 51% of the U.S. population but only 25% of the Senate and 23.4% of the House of Representatives.
