Djou: “With Ed gone, we are alone in being voice for mainstream in Hawaii”

The following email was sent out Thursday from www.Djou.com

Aloha and mahalo for your continued support.  I am excited to be working for you in Washington.

In the past ten days, I have proudly cast votes for fiscal responsibility and against unlimited deficit spending.  I was also appointed to the House Budget Committee where I will continue to fight to ensure that every dollar the government spends of your hard-earned money is spent wisely.

This weekend, however, the forces who want Hawaii's government to maintain the failed status quo consolidated their opposition to our campaign at the Democrat Party convention.  This is not unexpected. We never thought the establishment would simply give up without a fight - they have too much to lose.

I personally wish Ed Case well.  However, with Ed gone from this race, we are alone in being the voice for the mainstream across Hawaii. I look forward to this critical fight for Hawaii's families against entrenched special interests.

As I stated on election night, now is not the time to rest.  Now comes the hard work of actually doing good, bringing change, and restoring our nation to prosperity.  I will always put Hawaii's interests ahead of my own interests or that of my party….

Mahalo!
