WAIALUA, HI – Energized by the election of Representative Val Okimoto (HD 36 – Mililani Mauka, Mililani) and Senator Kurt Fevella (SD 19 – Ewa Beach, Ocean Pointe, Ewa by Gentry, Iroquois Point, portion of Ewa Villages), Republican members of the Legislature met on the North Shore to set their strategic plan for the 2019 Legislative Session.
The retreat included informational briefings by housing and education experts to hone their legislative agenda to be released in the coming weeks.
"It's high-time that Republicans set a bold agenda for the public to judge," said Representative Ward. "For too long, our government has tried the same ideas to fix the problems our constituents face. We are confident that the forthcoming proposals will help the working people of Hawaii."
"It's a blessing to be surrounded by great colleagues," said Senator Fevella. "I am grateful for the opportunity to serve the hardworking people in my community and across this State. Gathering together and learning from these experts is an exciting step as we move forward into the New Year."
