WARNING: CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD ‘SPECIAL RAIL FUNDING’ MEETING NEXT TUESDAY!!

This Tuesday (October 30), the Honolulu City Council will hold a “SPECIAL MEETING” to pay for Caldwell's ‘failed rail project’ at the expense of taxpayers and ultimately putting our fiscal health in further jeopardy and the future of our children, and our grandchildren. On the agenda:
- Fast-track passage of Bill 42 allowing Caldwell and the HART Board to raid the City’s general fund and use of our property taxes;
- Resolution 18-127, authorizing the issuance and sale of $450 million in General Obligation bonds;
- Resolution 18-132 & 18-237, authorizing the issuance and sale of an additional $44 million in General Obligation bonds;
- Resolution 18-239, approval of the so-called “2018 Rail Recovery Plan” to be submitted to the Federal Transit Administration.
Don’t let them scam us anymore!!
Contact your City Council member and strongly urge them to vote NO on all these gimmicks; your children and grandchildren are counting on you! Councilwoman Pine said it best on May 4, “We simply cannot pay for a project that we do not have the funds to complete.”
