Voters in the Hawaii first Congressional District Special election may drop off their mail-in ballots at the Office of Elections, located at 802 Lehua Ave. in Pearl City.  The deadline to return ballots is 6pm today.

Ballots are also being collected at the State Capitol near the Father Damien statue until 6pm.

Do not mail your ballot today.  Ballots not received by 6PM will not be counted.  Election results are expected to be released shortly after the polls close. 

Today’s Star-Bulletin reports: “As of yesterday about 159,000 (50.2 percent) of the 317,000 ballots sent to voters in the 1st Congressional District had been returned.”
