Djou Closes Phenomenal Hawaii Republican Party State Convention
Rally’s supporters as we enter final week of special election
HONOLULU--As Hawai'i Republicans wrapped up their annual State Convention this evening, Charles Djou took the stage and showcased why he is poised to win the special election one week from today, May 22nd. His message of fiscal responsibility, government accountability and job creation brought the delegates to the state convention to their feet and the enthusiasm in the Hilton Hawaiian Village Coral Ballroom was electric following his delivery.
“Charles has run a great campaign and his message bold, independent leadership is exactly what people want to hear," said Hawai'i Republican Chairman Jonah Ka’auwai. “The state party has been an active partner with his campaign and the grassroots support has been tremendous. It is this type of energy we will take into November and the state convention helped showcase the future of the Republican Party.”
Hundreds of delegates and guests packed the Coral Ballroom to see Governor Linda Lingle and Lt. Governor Duke Aiona among other Republicans speak and vote on a revolutionary values-based party platform. "The enthusiasm amongst the delegates is just what the party needs as we head into the fall campaigns," said Ka'auwai.
