FACT CHECK: Ed Case’s Special Interests Hypocrisy
HONOLULU—Democrat candidate Ed Case is once again “claiming” to stand up to special interests groups in his new ad. Case’s hypocrisy comes to light as we find evidence that he has in fact taken special-interest money during his multiple campaigns.
The faulty and unsubstantiated ad released today has been fact checked below:
CASE CLAIMS: Case’s new ad states, “The opponents of my husband…know he will stand up to special interests.”
FACT: Ed Case has hypocritically taken more than a quarter million dollars from special interests groups. Case has taken $286,476 from political action committees (PACs) and $71,500 from labor industry PACs, as of May 2, 2010.
