It's easier than ever before to rent space in your house, but a movement to crack down on home-sharing may threaten this new and evolving industry.
Meyer says that Hawaii's high rents are mostly the cause of government, not home-sharing platforms like Airbnb. He says that government restrictions on affordable housing, rentals, or even owning a home, have made it difficult for working class families to afford rent.
