Thank the President for Executive Order on Religious Freedom

As many of you have noticed, religious freedom and rights of conscience have been severely undermined in America in recent years. The Executive Order signed today by President Donald Trump represents a good first step towards restoring needed protection for those precious rights, and the beginning of fulfillment of his campaign promises to protect the religious freedoms of all faith-based citizens of our great country.

This is the beginning of restoration to the constitutional rights to the faith based community, but it is only a step.

Although over the past several years we have seen a deterioration of protections, this is a step in the right direction.  Recently our own legislature passed a law to force faith-based resource centers to post information that is contrary to their religious tenets (SB 501 CD1).  This outright bullying cannot continue and the only way we can win, is to stand united!

We truly welcome the signing of today’s Executive Order, however, we call on President Trump and his administration to work towards fully fulfilling his pledge to protect religious freedom in the United States. As he said in the Rose Garden this morning, "For too long the Federal government has used the power of the state as a weapon against people of faith, bullying and even punishing Americans for following their religious beliefs."

On this National Day of Prayer, we ask that you take a few moments to pray for all leaders in Government.  Their job is not easy and we ask that the Holy Spirit guide them in their daily decisions for us, the people of the United States of America!
