KIUC Nominating Committee Selects 6 Candidates for Board Election

Līhuʻe, Kauaʻi, HI - 12/16/16 – The Kaua‘i Island Utility Cooperative Nominating Committee has selected six candidates for its Board of Directors election on March 18, 2017. Three of the nine director positions are up for election annually.

The nominated candidates are, in alphabetical order: 

• Juno Ann Apalla 
• Dee M. Crowell 
• Norma Doctor Sparks 
• James (Jim) Mayfield 
• Hermina M. Morita 
• Allan A. Smith

Members can also run for the cooperative’s board by submitting a petition with the names of at least 35 members by the close of business on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. All potential candidates must complete the Prospective Director Candidate Application and Authority to Release Information form, comply with Board Policy 18 and attend an orientation to confirm a willingness to serve.
