Should an unelected city employee have so much power? Should the Hauula Fire Station Relocation project siphon funds from the Community Development Block Grants to build this $10M project when those funds could go to help support Oahu’s struggling non-profits? Is this the right priority in today's economy? Is this unelected employee asking the non-profits to 'eat cake?'

To City Council Chair Todd Apo and Donovan Dela Cruz, City Council
Mr. Donovan Dela Cruz, you are the city councilman for our district. Can you please help Hauula in this big problem?
Please provide a public hearing before the city condemns land and decides what is good for our community.
Hauula needs a public hearing so we can have information from different agencies. We have many questions and concerns. We already have nearly 300 petitions on this topic. How many Hauula signatures do you need from us to let you know that nobody thinks condemnation is a good way to go.
We are not Hawaii Kai or Diamond Head but the city must treat us fairly too. We want to have a PUBLIC HEARING in Hauula with an impartial moderator.
Your city worker did not inform us about this project. Please don't make any decisions before you give Hauula a Public Hearing first. This is a very important decision that the city must not make without working with us in Hauula.
Mr. Donovan Dela Cruz, please call me right away so you can come and meet with us to set up a public hearing. We will help you. We will pass out theflyers to let the whole community know. This is the only democratic way tohandle this issue about the Hauula Fire Station Relocation.
Thank you.
