The Passing of Bill Burgess

From Grassroot Institute, March 17, 2016

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of long-time Grassroot Institute supporter, Bill Burgess, on Wednesday of this week. Bill was a leader in his profession and in the fight to preserve the Aloha Spirit, and he was also a dear friend to myself, Chairman Dick Rowland and many of you as well.

Bill gave exemplary service to the people of Hawaii, and we strive to carry on his legacy here at Grassroot. He was a great man, and we stand on his shoulders in many of our battles.

I know that Bill will be greatly missed by all of us, and we extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Sandra and his family in this time of grief.

As soon as available, our office will have information on his memorial service.
