Justice Antonin Scalia's Other Legacy--From Focus on the Family

It's impossible to overstate the effect Justice Scalia had on the Supreme Court during his nearly 30-year tenure. He was and is, in a word, irreplaceable. But for all of Justice Scalia's important professional contributions, I want to take a different route and share a few thoughts about his other legacy ... that of his faith and family.

Keep reading to learn a bit about the private life of Justice Scalia. And in the wake of his sudden death, I want to ask you: If these were your last days on earth, what would you hope people might say about you? Please share your thoughts about Justice Scalia's legacy—and how you'd like to be remembered—in the comments section.

Protecting Children in Restrooms

Under the ordinance the Anchorage (Alaska) Assembly passed recently regarding sexual orientation and gender identity, here’s what an employer or operator of a place of public accommodation is lawfully allowed to do -   “Maintain and enforce gender-segregated restrooms, locker rooms or dressing rooms, provided that persons are allowed to use such facilities consistent with their gender identity and nothing in this chapter shall be deemed to require the provision of special facilities to accommodate any person(s) based upon sexual orientation or gender identity.”

Many communities and States are taking proactive measures to protect women and girls. The South Dakota legislature just passed a common sense bill and they are now awaiting the Governor's signature.

New California Law Forces Pro-Life Pregnancy Centers to Advertise Abortions

From the Daily Signal

Did you hear about the new bill that California Gov. Jerry Brown has signed into law?

Under penalty of whopping fines, the new law orders the abortion giant Planned Parenthood and every other abortion facility in the Golden State to post a prominent notice in their waiting rooms, or give the mothers written or digital notice, that they can go to pro-life pregnancy help centers instead and get what they need to give their babies life.  (Read more here)
