GOV. SCOTT WALKER WILL BE KEYNOTE SPEAKER AT HAWAII REPUBLICAN PARTY 2016 LINCOLN DAY DINNER

News Release from Hawaii Republican Party

HONOLULU (December 27, 2015) – The Hawaii Republican Party is pleased to announce that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker will be the keynote speaker for the Hawaii GOP's 2016 Lincoln Day Dinner on Feb.16, 2016.

"Gov. Scott Walker is one of America's most effective governors and the Hawaii Republican Party is honored to have him serve as the keynote speaker at our annual Lincoln Day Dinner," stated Hawaii GOP Chair, Fritz Rohlfing.  "Gov. Walker transformed Wisconsin's economy, dug its state government out from under a tremendous budget deficit, and has bravely reformed his state's civil service system."

Scott Walker is the 45th governor of Wisconsin, the birthplace of the anti-slavery Republican Party in 1854.  He previously served as the Milwaukee County Executive and in the Wisconsin State Assembly prior to becoming governor.  Walker has won three state-wide elections for governor in a span of four years in a state, like Hawaii, that hasn't been carried by a Republican nominee for president since 1984.

We are pleased to announce that tables and tickets for our annual Lincoln Day Dinner fundraiser are now available. Be the first of your friends to get yours by registering online!

As I am sure you have heard, Governor Scott Walker will be our keynote speaker, and we want you to meet him. If you buy a $2,500 Silver Sponsor table for 10, you will receive access for yourself and 3 guests to the VIP reception. You may also purchase a VIP pass for just $150 each with the purchase of each regular ticket! UPDATE Jan 27:  Kapena, the local legend and winner of two Na Hoku Hanohano Awards, will be the main performers! They will bring their "electrifying" sound to our Lincoln Day Dinner stage.

Kapena's music has been loved and enjoyed for over 30 years and their legacy lives on through all of their children. All three founding members of the group Kapena have children who have achieved their own success in Hawaii as up-and-coming musicians. The band evolved through the years and in the early 2000’s, Kelly Boy introduced the new generation of Kapena—a band made up of his three children: Kapena, Kalena and Lilo. This new Kapena has brought new music and modern-day hits to the stage. The group continues bringing that electrifying Kapena sound fans have grown to love to venues all over the world.
