Hawaii Residents Can Enroll Through Healthcare.gov for 2016

HONOLULU, HI October 30, 2015 — Beginning November 1, 2015, the more than 40,000 residents who enrolled through the Connector and any other resident can enroll through www.healthcare.gov.
“The Connector’s focus for the next three months is to assist our current customers or anyone who needs health coverage to enroll through Healthcare.gov,” said Executive Director Jeffrey M. Kissel. “We have a significant number of marketplace assister organizations spread across our state who can assist individuals obtain health coverage and help identify whether they are eligible for tax credits. Whether you are self-employed or cannot get health coverage through your employer, the Connector is here to help make sure every Hawaii resident has coverage.”
Hawaii residents can go directly to Healthcare.gov or call toll free 1(800) 318-2596 to find a suitable plan and can enroll through January 31, 2016. Customers can also attend enrollment events across the state or locate a Kōkua for in-person help through our website at www.hawaiihealthconnector.com. Customers who need to make a change to their 2015 health or dental plan are encouraged to call the Connector directly at 1(877) 628-5076.
Unfortunately, the Connector no longer offers health or dental plans to small businesses. Any small business that believes it might be eligible for a Small Business Tax Credit can work with the State of Hawaii Department of Labor and Industrial Relations or obtain more background information on our website: http://www.hawaiihealthconnector.com/shop/.
