Kauai Republicans ran a presidential straw poll at a County meeting Sunday August 16. It turned out we had exactly 100 voters, so there was no calculation required. Each percent corresponds to exactly one person's vote.
These scores are the weighted combination of first, second and third place choices with three points for a 1st choice, two points for 2nd choice and one point for 3rd choice. It gives a better view of overall support for candidates including where people would switch to if their 1st choice drops out. Here is how that came out at the end of Sunday:
This is the same information after stripping out the 2nd and 3rd choices. People who favored Trump mostly rated him as their 1st choice where others were mixed.

Hawaii Republicans will vote in their Presidential Caucuses Tuesday, March 8, 2016 from 6pm to 8pm at voting locations statewide.
