By News Release @ 6:05 PM :: 6079 Views :: Akaka Bill, OHA

Certified List as of July 10, 2015

From Kanaiolowalu Roll Commission July 27, 2015

During the Native Hawaiian Roll Commission meeting on July 10, 2015, the Roll Commission moved to certify the initial list of more than 95,000 qualified Native Hawaiians pursuant to HRS Chapter 10H (Act 195, SLH 2011) who are eligible to participate in the next phase of nation building.

Additional names will be added to the final Certified List by the Roll Commission between now and the date established by Naʻi Aupuni for delegate elections, as new registrations are processed and qualifications confirmed through documents and other information.

Please note that registrants who will be less than 18 years of age as of October 31, 2015 will not be on this list that will be used for the purposes of voting.  (Translation: Minors are included in the 95,690, the Actual Voter List is Even Smaller)

To search for your name on the list, please use My Status where you can also update your information. The Commission encourages everyone to keep your contact information current (mailing and email address) so that you can get the latest information as the governing process unfolds.

Star-Adv: Certified Native Hawaiian roll posted online with 95,690 names

Na'i Aupuni intends to send a notice of election to certified voters next month, explaining the voting process, apportionment of delegates and how to file as a delegate candidate.

Last week, two nonprofit groups, Judicial Watch and the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii, posted a preliminary list of 123,160 names on the registry, including people whose ancestry had not yet been certified. It had been seeking access to the list for a year, and obtained the preliminary version through a court order.

(123,160 – 95,690 = 27,470 Names Not Verifiable)
