In the news there is a great deal of coverage of an incident with an unruly passenger on Hawaii Airlines Flight 39 from Portland to Maui--a non-terrorist incident which triggered scrambling fighter planes.
There is also extensive national coverage of a Newark, NJ incident in which a man snuck past the TSA for one last goodbye kiss--triggering evacuation of 10,000 passengers for re-screening.
Oddly, there is NO coverage of THIS January 6 incident with an "unruly passenger" on a Miami-Detroit flight on Orthodox Christmas Eve--just days after another Islamist celebrated December 25 by lighting his panties on fire.

But Islam is peaceful and tolerant, right? Only some unhinged, bigoted boor would go off about killing Jews, right? Well....
Abu Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The last hour would not come unless the Muslims will fight against the Jews and the Muslims would kill them until the Jews would hide themselves behind a stone or a tree and a stone or a tree would say: Muslim, or the servant of Allah, there is a Jew behind me; come and kill him; but the tree Gharqad would not say, for it is the tree of the Jews. (Sahih Muslim 41.6985)
Watch for a claim of "mental illness," distress, etc, and sob stories about his "Palestinian" origins (even there, aren't we repeatedly told that it's "only" Zionism that is at issue?). What will go largely unexamined in the mainstream press (or quickly swept under the rug) is the root of the violent fixation with Jews beyond the grievance du jour.
"Toledo man charged in flight fracas," by Tammy Stables Battaglia for the Detroit Free Press, January 7:
The Toledo man who Wednesday yelled racial slurs and caused a Detroit flight from Miami to turn around is being held in a Florida jail today.
A Toledo man. That explains everything. Maybe McDonalds botched his McNugget order, too.
Mansor Mohammad Asad, 43, has been charged with threats against a public servant, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest after the incident aboard Delta Airlines flight 2485, according to the Miami-Dade Police Department.
Witnesses told investigators that Asad yelled anti-Semitic references such as, "I'm Palestinian and I want kill all the Jews," in Arabic. The pilot turned around as the plane was taxiing for take-off at 6:35 p.m., according to police.
Officers then escorted the Asad off and performed a safety inspection of the plane before it continued on to Detroit.
But Asad charged officers while he was in custody, using racial slurs and threats while he chanted, leading police to use a Taser to subdue him.
Asad told the judge at his court appearance today that he didn't feel he was a public threat.
The judge cited his death to Jews comment and the comment about the African American officer and said he disagreed.
He told him he would get a lawyer appointed for the man and bring him back tomorrow.
