It isn't just the Washington Post which is scared of Hawai`i Free Press. Now Time Magazine feels the need to touch on a story we introduced to the world.
In a December 23 piece, "No Churchgoing Christmas for the First Family", Time tosses this tender morsel to its shrinking readership:
The one church in Hawaii with which Obama does have a family connection is unlikely to be the place where the First Family would worship on Christmas Eve. As a child, Obama occasionally attended Sunday school classes at the First Unitarian Church of Honolulu, and his family held a memorial service there for his grandmother last Christmas. Conservative critics were quick to point out that the First Unitarian Church has a controversial history — in 1969, the church offered sanctuary to servicemen who refused to go to Vietnam. The refuge was brief, however, as military police invaded church grounds to arrest the soldiers.
Quick? The Obama deserter sanctuary story had been carefully withheld by every burned out 60s radical in Honolulu -- until after Election Day. "Quick" is a bad joke on McCain--missing a story which could have affected the direction of the Presidential Campaign. While he was languishing under torture in the Hanoi Hilton, Barack Obama was at a church which gave refuge to military deserters.
That war, Obama won and McCain lost. Pol Pot took over Cambodia and murdered 2 or 3 million Cambodians. The North Vietnamese Communists took over the South, killed as many as 1.2 million Vietnamese and chased out 2 million "boat people".
Now Obama is President.

The Drudge Report, starting the morning of December 30 linked to our December 28 article: "Pelosi enjoys privacy at Hualalai after Palin is hounded off Maui." Two server upgrades and 55,000 hits later, the deluge of new readers still comes. The Advertiser, Hawaii Reporter, West Hawaii Today, and numerous national news outlets have picked up the story. Sources indicate Pelosi is enjoying the $10,000/night "Presidential Suite" at the Four Seasons Hualalai. Her staff claims she flew commercial and paid her own way. Meanwhile the American economy lies in ruins thanks to her tax and spend Congress. The children of 1968 have not grown up--but they have grown old--and now they have a new definition for "living high".
This one-two punch is almost as good as Hawai`i Free Press being falsely blamed for inventing "Obama is a Muslim" chain emails--by the silly, unemployment-dodging, Obamabot hacks at The Washington Post. We're still waiting for the WaPo to do a follow up article blaming us for those "Obama is a Unitarian" chain emails we keep sending around. The difference is significant. Muslims and Unitarians don't get along nearly as well as some Unitarians would like to believe. The NY Post Oct 29 illustrates:
Rabia Sarwar, 37, climbed onto her husband Sheikh Naseem’s chest around 3 a.m. yesterday and repeatedly slashed at his neck as he slept, officials said, screaming, "It’s time for you to die!"
Naseem, a 41-year-old high school math teacher who goes by the name Eddie, said he woke up with the knife to his neck and as he wrestled with his wife – whom he wed five months ago in an arranged marriage — for the weapon.
He begged her to consider his two children from a previous marriage.
"She just screamed, ‘They are going to be orphans now!’" he said. "She kept on coming after me with the knife and I grabbed it and broke it into two pieces and ran out of the room."
He then realized that Sarwar had hidden all the phones, so he ran into the hall and pounded on a neighbor’s door for help. Police were called, and Sarwar arrested. Naseem suffered only surface wounds to his neck, face and hands and was later released from a local hospital.
Naseem – who was born in Pakistan, but is half Norwegian and is a Unitarian – said he moved to the US more than 20 years ago and quickly adapted to American culture, taking to drinking casually and developing a taste for barbecued ribs.
Hawai`i Free Press wonders whether the Unitarian Obama learned as much from the Panty Bomber on Christmas Day as the Unitarian Naseem learned from his Muslim soon-to-be-ex-wife at 3AM October 28.
We doubt it.
