Five weeks after Honolulu Councilmember Charles Djou's formal request, the administration of Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann has released a complete list of contractors and subcontractors currently or previously being paid to work on the Honolulu rail system.
In his cover letter, DTS Director Wayne Yoshioka writes:
In response to your letter of September 30, 2009, attached please find an updated list of contractors and the amounts for their contract terms as awarded by the Department of Transportation Services (DTS) to work on the Honolulu High-Capacity Transit Corridor Project (the Project). This list is contained in Attachment A.
Subcontractors to these firms on the Project and their contract amounts are included in Attachments B, C, and D. As a point of clarification, DTS does not award work to subcontractors.
You will note that the updated Project contractors and subcontracts are similar to the lists of Project contractors and subcontractors in my December 30, 2008, letter to you.
In addition, please note:
• Many of these contracts and subcontracts are for services rendered over several years.
• Contracts listed in Attachment C are for the ongoing EIS/PE Phase of the Project, which began in August 2007.
• Contracts listed in Attachment D were for the Alternatives Analysis Phase of the Project. These contracts have concluded.
