SBH 38th Annual Business Conference Supports Better Business Climate, Tips for Success, Tuesday, May 13

Smart Business Hawaii (SBH), Hawaii’s most effective small business advocacy organization, hosts its 38th Annual Business & Investment Conference, Tuesday, May 13, 2014, in the Hibiscus Ballroom of the Ala Moana Hotel, from 8 am to 2 pm. The public is welcome; advance registration is required (at PH 396-1724, 349-5438 or 306-3161).

The theme is: “Working for a BETTER Hawaii Business Climate.”

There is something for every Hawaii business, regardless of size.

Speakers include: Mike McCartney, President, Hawaii Tourism Authority; Jonathan Young, President, Associated Builders & Contractors; Bob Sigall, Best Selling Author of “The Companies We Keep;” Tom Yamachika, Tax Foundation of Hawaii; Mark Storfer, Hilo Hattie and Naomi Hazelton-Giambrone, Element Media/Pacific Edge Magazine.

They will provide industry updates, business demographics, tax impact and tips for success.

The Minimum Wage, fees, and mandates are on the agenda.

A panel on, “Technology That Will Help Your Business Soar,” includes: Dale Evans, Charley’s Taxi; Peter Kay, Your Computer Minute/Cybercom, and Cole Slater of Maui Divers.
