Abercrombie's Favorite Day of the Year
From Hawaii Republican Party April 15, 2014
Today, Governor Abercrombie celebrates taking more of YOUR hard earned money to fund his big government initiatives like the Hawaii Health Connector.
As Abercrombie celebrates Tax Day, take a moment to review some research about the many ways he plotted to take more of YOUR money:
- During Neil Abercrombie's tenure as a member of Congress in Washington, D.C., he voted at least 116 times to raise taxes.
- He voted in favor of Cap-and-Trade, a national energy tax, which is the equivalent of hiking personal income taxes by about 15 percent.
- He voted in favor of Bill Clinton's 1993 tax hike, then the largest tax increase in American history.
- He voted in favor of increasing gas taxes and increasing taxes on social security benefits.
- He voted to increase the Medicare payroll tax.

Governor Abercrombie, the people of Hawaii need affordable housing, jobs, access to healthcare, quality education, and a clean environment. The people of Hawaii DO NOT need higher taxes on gas, food and electricity.
