25th Infantry Division Special Troops Battalion (25STB) Redeployment Ceremony Tuesday, Sept. 29, 1:35 p.m. Wheeler Army Airfield
DETAILS: The 25th Infantry Division's Special Troops Battalion (25STB) begins returning home, Tuesday, after serving as the command headquarters for Multi-National Division North (MDN-North) in Iraq, since December 2008.
Tuesday's flight of 150 Soldiers paves the way for the remaining 700 headquarters Soldiers returning before the Thanksgiving holiday. A homecoming ceremony will take place at Wheeler Army Airfield, Tuesday, at 1:35 p.m.
Family and friends wishing to welcome the Soldiers home are encouraged to check the division Web site, www.25idl.army.mil, for the latest ceremony updates.
Individuals with military identification cards and installation vehicle decals may enter Wheeler through Kawamura and Kunia Gates.
Individuals without military identification are required to report to Lyman Gate at Schofield Barracks to obtain a visitor's pass.
Please allow additional travel time in the event that there is a backlog for those acquiring passes and be prepared to show valid photo identification, automobile registration and proof of insurance. Driving directions will be provided at the gate entrances.
