A Gallup Poll released today shows that self-identified conservatives outnumber liberals in all 50 states.
While Hawaii is ninth in a Gallup's list of top liberal states, Aloha State conservatives have a 5% edge--29% to 24%--over liberals.
Hawaii is tied with Rhode Island as the top state for self-identified moderates at 43%. Hawaii and Rhode Island have the nations' two most lopsided Legislatures--both are overwhelmingly Democrat.
Many of the top conservative states are in the Plains, Mountain states, Midwest, and South. Of course the liberals at Gallup mention only the South in their headline. Top liberal states are concentrated in the Northeast and West Coast.
