Vote ‘No’ to Support Traditional Marriage
Hello all voters, Oct 28, 2024
It has come to my attention that pro traditional marriage voters are misunderstanding the wording of the Constitutional Amendment on our ballot and are inadvertently voting for homosexual marriage.
A yes vote is against traditional marriage
A “No” vote is for marriage between one man and one woman.
Please pass this word to all friends and family.
Mahalo.

I’m Living in My Own ADU
Dear Editor, Oct 9, 2024
So I'm living in what would qualify as an ADU (and have for almost 35 years)?
Don't get me wrong, this is the only house on the lot. It was built in 1954. It is a 2BR house with a full bathroom inside and another outside, and it is under 1000 sf.
Being on an almost 1/2 acre lot I'm sure it would allow for two others to be built - if there was a way around the house. I'm most certainly not going to have an ADU (or more) built on a lot where people would have to walk through my back lanai and down the back steps to get to it - I'd have to cut down trees and I'd rather grow more fruit and give it away like I do now.
There are or were (I haven't checked lately) still houses being sold in Hilo that have 3 bedrooms and were under 800 sf.
Aloha,

Manufactured Homes for Lahaina Fire Recovery
Dear Editor, October 7, 2024
Thanks for including an article on Manufactured homes in this week's Feed.
Actually there is one company in Hawaii that is bringing in Manufactured homes.
FABMAC Homes on Maui is one.
The problem here are the building departments. They scare people by refusing to permit these homes - as they cannot do inspections as they are built.
The solution is to use Third Party Inspectors and allow for all HUD certified homes to come into Hawaii.
This solution came up a few years ago at the State Building Code Council. At that meeting the carpenters and builders spoke against the idea and it died.
Both Matson and Pasha have capacity for roll-on/roll-off manufactured homes.
One big reason we have so few Cheap homes in Hawaii is because of the above.

Identifying a Nightmare for Both Right and Left
Dear Editor, October 2, 2024
No ID voting has expanded to 14 states because it has been deemed racist to require ID for elections. So, by the same reasoning, isn’t it then racist to require ID to purchase guns, drive, buy liquor, fly, etc.? Theoretically, nonwhites do not have equal access to IDs as whites do. Would requiring only whites to show ID be reverse racism?
The obvious alternate solution would be establishing proactive programs to help minorities get free government ID’s, but that makes too much sense.
Are we then denying minorities equal access to guns by requiring them to have ID’s when purchasing? Just imagine the anti ID protesters at the gun store screaming, “ID bites! Gun rights!” (now that would be a nightmare for BOTH right AND left wing!).
Other protest slogans:
At liquor stores: ID stinks! Equal drinks!
At the DMV: Driver’s License? Racist nonsense!
At airport TSA checkpoints: ID bites! Equal Flights!
What college student could resist rioting with a mantra like “Identification is Discrimination!”?
No ID voting might be like closing the barn door after the horses have escaped but oh well.
However, we MUST STILL require ID for senior citizen discounts! Not doing so would be absolutely ridiculous!
