$20M to keep Juvenile Criminals from Suffering for their Crimes
CB: … Partners in Development’s goal of ending youth incarceration in Hawaii is supported by a $20 million grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation that began in 2022 and will run until 2030. Partners in Development administers the grants, Kanaiaupuni said, but multiple community organizations are eligible to receive the funds to support their work serving disadvantaged or incarcerated youth.

Judge Faauuga Tootoo signed off on the document, “Findings of fact, conclusions of law, and order” supporting his decision to deny a motion to dismiss the gun charge against Adric. Tootoo’s ruling was filed in the Circuit Court case in February 2024.
The findings spell out a harrowing step-by-step account of how the incident unfolded….
