SA: … Pu‘uhonua O Wai‘anae received a $250,000 donation from the Oweesta Corp. to assist with the construction (charade) of “a permanent village of affordable homes in Waianae Valley,” the village announced Thursday.
Pu‘uhonua O Wai‘anae has a population of about 200 residents, two-thirds of whom are Native Hawaiian. The group (pretends to aim) aims to house 250 people at a reduced cost through its “community-first” model.
In 2020, the group acquired a 20-acre property on which the village has begun (been pretending) to develop the Pu‘uhonua O Waianae Farm Village….
Oweesta Corp. is a Native Community Development Financial Institution intermediary that assists with creating wealth opportunities for native communities (meth-heads) ….

Potential jurors in bribery trial to undergo more screening following hitman revelation
HNN: … The upcoming bribery and public corruption trial for former city Prosecutor Keith Kaneshiro and five others connected to engineering firm Mitsunaga and Associates will require more time to seat a jury of 12 people plus four alternates.
Hundreds of potential jurors already filled out two questionnaires, but a third will be needed when they arrive at court on Tuesday. That’s because of all the pretrial publicity surrounding a new investigation into a hitman-for-hire case that’s also impacted the trial in other ways….
Defendant Sheri Tanaka served as the civil attorney for Mitsunaga and Associates before being indicted in the shocking murder-for-hire conspiracy case.

ILind: … if your basic tool is a group of large associates standing by to do your “dirty work” by assaulting victims on your command, your solution to all sorts of problems will be to fall back on threatened or actual violent attacks.
At least that is the picture that emerges from a stream of witnesses who have appeared in the racketeering trial of former Honolulu business owner, Michael J. Miske Jr., over the past couple of weeks.
In recent posts, I’ve described the assault of an employee of a competing termite treatment company, and the vicious attack on an M Nightclub bartender who Miske allegedly suspected of skimming cash from the bar.
The victim of another attack told his story to the jury this past week, with supporting testimony coming from responding police officers and medical personnel….

KFD douses large fire at Biomass Power Plant just outside Lihue
KITV: … Kauai fire officials say they have gotten control of a large fire that broke out at the Biomass Power Plant on Kauai.
Crews were called out to the plan around 3:30 p.m. An image of the fire sent in to Island News showed towering flames and thick black smoke billowing out of containers at the plant.
Firefighters quickly responded and began attacking the fire. Just before 5:30 p.m., officials said they had the fire under control.
The power plant is located mauka of Kaumulii Highway, near the Knudsen Gap….
