Representative Mele Carroll introduced House Bill 1295 on Jan 26. The bill authorizing condemnation of Molokai Ranch. Below is the full text of the Bill.
After the two competing gangs of socialists destroyed everything, the ranch will be collectivized. BTW: Molokai is one of only three places in the USA exempted from the five-year lifetime limit on receiving welfare benefits.

Pork Dreams: $2B for Hawaii in stimulus bill?
Under the plan, $256 million would go to aid the state's budget and $129 million would go to improve highways and bridges. Schools are expected to receive $66 million for modernization, $45 million is to go for water quality projects ($1.2B needed for sewage treatment) and $41 million is tapped for mass transit ($5B cost to build rail). The figures will likely change as the plan moves to final passage.

Hawaii auto dealers brace for 16% sales drop this year
A forecast for the Hawaii Automobile Dealers Association projects that sales will drop to 36,000 vehicles, or about 16 percent lower than 2008's anemic sales level.

Bill would restrict display of human bodies, parts
Before the exhibit arrived in Hawaii last summer, the company gave assurances that the remains didn't belong to executed Chinese prisoners, and that medical examiners made sure there was no evidence of bodily injury or trauma. But Jiang argued that the company couldn't verify the source of the bodies, and she's concerned that they belonged to oppressed Falun Gong practitioners.
The bill would ban exhibits showing human bodies without a permit except for cadavers more than 80 years old, consisting solely of teeth or hair, involved in funeral or religious ceremonies, or those in the possession of a museum.

Hawaii jobless rate at 10-year high of 5.5%
...unemployment shot up in the second half of 2008 as companies such as Aloha Airlines shut down and others such as NCL America and Hawaii Medical Center cut back operations. There have been numerous cutbacks of 50 or more employees, while other companies are cutting back workers' hours to deal with the slower economic pace.
