We The Excluded vs Mazie Hirono
Dear Editor, January 21, 2019
Mazie Hirono has sunk beneath her House counterpart Brian Schatz. It seems clear to me why: she holds a very well protected seat and can remain immune from public criticism while spewing party rhetoric. As a result, we (the criticized) have been condemned for being men and for being believers while listening to imbecilic self-aggrandizement suggesting that she and her like are so much smarter than the common folk that the latter just can’t keep up.
Ms. Hirono is and was elected to represent the people of Hawaii. I don’t understand how personally insulting constituents who are male or who believe in God serves the people of Hawaii, unless it means that we should be somehow excluded, in which case her recent censure by the Senate is entirely appropriate. Her overwhelming defeat in the next election would be even more so.
I can’t help being a male. And I can’t do anything about the dictate that my Christianity disqualifies me from office. But I can and will vote against you, reflexively. You are a bigot of the highest order and arrogantly so.
Finally, Ms. Hirono, I am sorry to inform you that you aren’t very bright. In my life, I have had occasion to meet some very bright people. Without exception, they each had a keen ability to describe complex abstract concepts in simple terms. You are deluded by having a near endless palette of ideas without credible realizations, known as hot air.
Sincerely,

Congress Must Approve Decent Funding for the Wall
Dear Editor, January 3, 2019
It is very strange to see Congress hold the country and its security to ransom by refusing to construct a border wall and border systems that will secure the country against smuggling of drugs, human trafficking, illegal immigration, and possible nuclear bombs … not to mention the impunity with which criminal gangs operate across the border. It is so insensitive of the House to refuse to stop such influx. All the while, they are reducing US GDP by shutting down the Government, and hurting Federal employees who do nothing outside than earn an honest day’s wage.
The calamitous, insensitive crisis precipitated by the new House majority shocks even the innocent bystander. Is border security a joke or a whim that it must be disregarded? To the contrary, any nation that has ignored border security has done so at its peril.
But, we know partly what motivates the House majority to ignore the wall: it is the hope that the votes of the illegal immigrants who become legal or have children in the USA, will go to a specific party. But, even that is simply half a hope, as more and more thinking people realize that America First is not simply a slogan – it is an aim for survival and greater greatness in years to come.
While there is moral respect in standing up for the abused and legal immigrant, there is no NO moral achievement in standing up for the illegal immigrant, no matter how nice a person that illegal immigrant may be. People should not confuse standing up for the rights of legal immigrants with rights of illegal immigrants. But, this happens all the time, with important politicians and educated personnel uttering illegal and legal immigrant in the same breath, applying a broad brush, such that illegal becomes equal to legal. Nothing can be more laughable than this, but it happens all the time. Besides, it is such a great insult to legal immigrants that I need an apology.
“Experts’ who claim that illegal immigrants commit less crimes than US citizens talk as if it’s OK to enter the country illegally so long as they don’t subsequently commit crimes. This also is missing the point and is ludicrous.
If the House majority is holding the Federal employees ransom simply because they must oppose President Trump at every turn and word he utters, then they are simply petty and guilty of putting the country second to their personal animosity and hatreds. They are signaling the lowly levels and egos they posses.
Border and national security are no joke. But, the claims of the opponents and their desire for sanctuary cities is a joke. They’ve never lived a real life, most likely, maybe never fired a gun, scarcely understand war and terrorism, and chant a mantra of peace they don't know how to get, all the while smoking a peace pipe.
Sincerely,
