Climate Change and all the Brainwashing
Dear Editor, December 28, 2018
The Earth emits around 190 billion tons of CO2 annually, of which a bare 2.6% is due to human activity, such as automobile emissions, burning oil for electricity, and industrial processes such as in the manufacture of cement. Also know that CO2 is only 4% of the greenhouse gasses, while 95% is water vapor. Consequently, owing to differing molecular weight, the great “Greenhouse effect” is caused 9% by CO2, and 89% by water vapor. Consequently, humans contribute only 0.1% of CO2, which is responsible for, at most, 0.09% of the Greenhouse effect. By all accounts, this miniscule CO2 is unable to drive the increase of 1.4F in world temperature averages since 1880. If anything, human activity might only be responsible for 0.00126 F increase of those 1.4F, based on calculations on molecular weights, assuming that the heat contained is a direct function of the molecular weight. A simple thing as this has gone unobserved by so many.
Thus, to blame global warming and climate change on human activity is grossly misplaced and poor science. It is futile to argue with the naysayers and the lobbyists, or the propaganda machine of the businesses that stand to gain from disturbing normal industrial activity. We can conclude that much of the propaganda about the human causes of global warming have been driven by business, media and politicians controlled by business, government controlled by politicians, and scientists funded and controlled by vested interests. Scientists have thus lost some credibility.
But, an estimated 40% of scientists disagree with the common views of global warming in one or multiple perspectives. And, more than 31,000 signed the OISM Global Warming Petition, urging the US government to reject the Kyoto protocol, and 1,000 scientists dissented against the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC). This is no trivial dissent. Nobel Prize winners, too, have come out against the common narrative of climate change.
So, don't argue with me: take it up with those scientists.
Definitely, something is wrong in the world regarding global warming causes that blitz the media. Much to my dismay, the logic and powerful movement behind climate change can only be explained by a global agenda to control the public, alongside the movement to take away their guns. And, the weight of evidence based on hundreds of ice core readings go against the scientists spouting the general narrative of global warming and climate change. As such, the Kyoto Protocol was based on sham and incomplete science -- a political agenda. So, give me a break or shoot me in the head.
First, going back 400,000 years, it is seen that CO2 increases on Earth closely trail global warming: solar warming ejects loosely held CO2 molecules from the oceans, which partially explains why the oceans are turning towards the acidic side. Moreover, oceans are the largest repository of CO2, in addition to plant life and volcanic activity, causing the lion’s share of contribution to atmospheric CO2. Thus, solar warming is driving CO2 increases, not that CO2 is driving global warming. Science in the Western hemisphere has totally misinterpreted and mistaken cause and effect in this case. I’m not surprised, though.
Sometimes one has to take popular science with a pinch of salt, epitomized by the great brains that bled George Washington to death, with an aim to cure him, as science of the day held. And, the best science of only the 19th century resisted surgeons washing their hands before surgery. Not by a long shot has science today reached any end of the road.
Moreover, cloud cover variations — modulated by cosmic ray flux — are a dominant contributor to climate change, reported recently by seven members of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Besides, cosmic ray flux is cyclical. In fact, as the cosmic flux changes, global cooling is a significant probability over the next few decades. That’ll put a stop to the propaganda spewing in the US media. There’s something to be said here for the USA becoming friends with Russia.
Further, there is something to be said about a greenhouse effect experiment in the laboratory versus in the open atmosphere, and of theory versus actuality. The so-called greenhouse effect fails to account for heat transmission to the outer layers of the atmosphere. Because, as gases expand and rise to the outer layers, they give away their heat to upper layers. But, I don't know how to explain that to the Hawaiian legislature and Star Advertiser that have lately panicked about global warming in their state, driven by scientists who look at the symptoms rather than the cause.
But, yes, we need to reverse human emissions to reduce air pollution, only to live healthier, more productive lives. We know that industrial and automobile emissions carry toxins and carcinogens to damaging degrees. This must not be allowed. But, cause and reason must simply be placed in perspective.
And, don't try to play God by thinking you can reverse solar warming. That role is reserved for Al Gore.
Sincerely,
Amarjit Singh
