Gays Attack Hawaiians (Again)

by Andrew Walden

The gay movement claims to be all about ‘diversity’ and inclusiveness.  But after same-sex ‘marriage’ failed to attract support in the current session of the Hawaii Legislature, gay activists on the Daily KOS let loose with what they really think.  Here it is from a February 25 online discussion:

KOS commenter Reflectionsv37 gets right to the point:

“I think some of it has to do with...the same sex marriage issue….  I drove past the capital during a protest against civil unions and much to my surprise, most of the faces protesting were Hawaiian....it is still a big issue with some of the locals.”

Oaktown Girl’s Daily KOS tagline explains: “If ‘elitist’ just means ‘not the dumbest motherfucker in the room’, I'll be an elitist!” She helpfully points out:

“The first thing my father did when I told him I was moving there was warn me about the anti-Black bigotry….  It's a tragically common legacy of racism: Brown and ‘Yellow’ people integrating the anti-Black attitudes of White people. I was there from 1989-1999.”

Obama won Hawaii by 70% to 27% but with gay ‘marriage’ getting no traction Irminsul has concluded Hawaiians must all be Birthers.  He writes:

Ever since moving here I have regarded the political clime as, well, mystifying to say the least…the organs of right wing conservatism are tricking locals and ethnic Polynesians into voting against their own best interests

“I get emails from some of my favorite beautiful Hawaiian friends, regarding….what's this? That Obama is a secret Muslim who is ready to spring a gun grabbing autocracy on us while we sleep….

“I have discovered a low simmering racist sentiment in many island enclaves, held against African Americans…. Hawaii does not apportion enough public monies for education, and I have run into plenty of adults who were cheated on that level and run about as very uninformed adults; fertile territory for the minions of fear and hatred politics. Just yesterday I received yet another barely racist anti-Obama email from a musician friend of mine who creates wonderful music about spreading love and the Aloha spirit. Yeah, explain that one to me.

“Yet another of my ohana here has tried to convince me that Obama wants a socialist Hawaii. This person, mind you, is working two minimum wage jobs and is struggling to support a family with three small children….  He is an advocate of Hawaii Sovereignty….”

The dogs sockpuppet explains:

“We only visit for a couple weeks once a year, but … I've … noticed a lot of stickers of semi-automatic rifles popping up on native owned trucks and cars.  I can't remember the slogan that goes with it, but it's a step further than ‘Native Lands in Native Hands’ that I'm used to…”

Apparently thinking he is supposed to own the opinion of any government employee, another commenter opines that the “ignorance” of the “locals” is “ironic indeed seeing as how Hawaii is very dependent on government spending as a primary source of revenue and many people owe their employment to government or their businesses to secondary spending from those employed by government.”

None of this should be surprising.  The gay movement has long had a racism problem which belies the ridiculous claim that transforming the family structure is somehow a civil rights issue.  Here are some of the stories:
