Djou: Our Polls Show us Ahead
By Rep Charles Djou @ 5:55 PM :: 9055 Views :: Maui County, Education K-12, Energy, Environment

From www.Djou.com

Aloha,

We are now just 48 hours away from Election Day. Please talk to your family, friends and neighbors and make sure they vote on Tuesday.

As you know, our internal polls have us with a slight lead. The Star Advertiser, which endorsed our opponent, has us and Governor Lingle trailing in its polling. But, if it were really the case that Gov. Lingle is trailing, would we really see the massive amount of negative spending directed at her in these closing days before the election? Please don't let the media polling decide this race and others, and let's work to the very last minute to make sure the people decide this election.

We're proud of the campaign we've been able to run and are excited to share a recent editorial from the Maui News that called one of our TV commercials, the "best ad of the season." The editorial, which is reprinted at the bottom of this email along with a link to the commercial, concludes: "let's hope that those elected Tuesday take a Djou-like approach to the federal budget."

Our campaign has relentlessly focused on the need for all of us, Democrats and Republicans alike, to come together to fix our economy. We believe that putting our country's interests before our personal or partisan interests, is the only way we can grow jobs and create a better future for Hawaii and America. It is now up to the voters to decide.

Please forward this message to all of your family and friends, place a link on your Facebook, send out a tweet, and get everyone you know out to vote on Tuesday.

We will win this election because of your help.

Mahalo nui loa,

Team Djou
