Here at headquarters, we are very proud of the enthusiastic support we have received from voters like you all across the state! Our newest TV spot highlights the diverse backgrounds of Governor Lingle’s supporters. They come from different islands, ethnic groups and even political parties, but they all agree Linda Lingle is the clear choice for U.S. Senate!

The supporters featured include current and retired public school teachers, a native Hawaiian community leader, a 100-year-old WWII veteran and even members of the Democratic Party of Hawaii, including a former Democrat State Senator who is crossing the aisle to support Governor Lingle.

But guess what our opponent Mazie Hirono says? She says our Democrat supporters aren’t Democrat enough. Her partisan politics are shining through, and giving Hawaii a glimpse of the us-vs-them mentality she leads with. These statements are a far cry from the “collaborative, bipartisan” candidate her campaign is trying to promote.

Friends, this is the first of many video spots highlighting the broad-based support that Governor Lingle enjoys statewide!

Now more than ever we need your help to spread our message all across the state. Just today Mazie Hirono’s campaign attempted to silence our supporters. In a statement from her campaign, she said their testimonials in the video spot were “false and misleading.” These are the types of hard-nosed attacks we expected from a DC-insider like Hirono, but we did not expect her to focus her attacks on you, our supporters.

The fact that Governor Lingle has attracted support from Democrats, Independents and Republicans alike has upset Hirono’s campaign. Her negative and aggressive reaction is a sign that we have the momentum in this race and we need your help to keep it moving in our direction!
