Ron Paul to begin Hawaii ad campaign
USA Today: Ron Paul will begin advertising Thursday in Hawaii with a spot that promotes his plan to cut $1 trillion from the federal budget.
The Hawaii caucuses are next Tuesday, March 13, the same day as primaries in Mississippi and Alabama. The Texas congressman's campaign says the commercial will air on cable TV and select broadcast outlets in the Aloha State….
The ad "is an ideal one to air in Hawaii, with its pleasant climate, because it helps separate him from the 'fair-weather conservatives' who are unwilling to make the tough decisions that will get our country back on track," Paul campaign chairman Jesse Benton said.

Hawaii Electorate Friendliest to Romney?
USA Today: Ahead: Caucuses in Kansas on Saturday, followed by primaries next Tuesday in Alabama, Mississippi and Hawaii. The Illinois primary is on March 20 and the Louisiana primary on March 24.
Among those states, Illinois and perhaps Hawaii are the only ones with the sorts of electorates that have been friendliest to the former Massachusetts governor. The GOP in the three Southern states and Kansas are dominated by very conservative voters, strong supporters of the Tea Party and evangelical Christians - partisans who have fueled the rise of Santorum and Gingrich.
That said, Romney is competing in all those states.
