Kaauwai: Unity in Remembrance of 9/11
By Jonah Ka`auwai @ 10:55 PM :: 7339 Views :: Energy, Environment, National News, Ethics

Aloha,

For all of us across the nation, our thoughts are turned to the lives that were lost due to the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001. Our prayers go out today to the families who lost loved ones during the unprovoked terrorist attacks.

We honor our first responders for they are the brave souls that willingly put their lives on the line. Mahalo to all the law enforcement officers and rescue personnel for their heroic acts of service that were so dutifully performed in that moment of need and for the continued service that encompasses their every day.

We pay tribute to the thousands who have committed themselves to military service. We are indebted to the sacrifices that are made to protect our freedom. Words cannot adequately express our feelings of gratitude for these great men and women. We love them and pray for their continued protection.

We give thanks for the many freedoms that we enjoy in this great country. We ask for a blessing over this great land that our freedoms may be protected and that it may continue to shine forth as a beacon to this world.

Let us join in unity as we contemplate and remember the nearly 3,000 lives that were lost. Our unity is bound together by the countless souls that have put their lives in harms way for preserving our precious freedoms. We stand together as Americans and commit to honor the ideals of freedom. May God bless you and may God bless these United States of America.

In Remembrance,
