Hawai‘i Health Connector Awards $12M Contract for Customer Service Contact Center and Support Services
News Release from Hawaii Health Connector June 7, 2013
The Hawai‘i Health Connector today announced that it has awarded Maximus Health Services, Inc. a $12 million multi-year contract for the development, implementation and management, including support services, of the Connector’s customer service contact center. The contact center will be based on Oahu, and Maximus Health Services will hire as many as 25 employees to manage operations and services there. The contract award will fund the contact center through 2017. (Quick Math Problem: 25 employees / $12M = $480K each / 4 years = $120K per telemarketer per year)
“Awarding this contract is another key milestone for the Connector and increases our momentum for October’s open enrollment,” said Coral Andrews, Hawai‘i Health Connector’s executive director. “Ensuring quality customer service and community outreach to Hawai‘i residents remain priorities for Connector staff.”
The customer service contact center will receive inquiries from multiple communication channels. In addition to telephone assistance, the contact center staff will be available by email, postal mail, web chat and fax. The contact center will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., 7 days a week, starting in mid-September.
