WARNING: Led by Barack Obama and the Democrats in the U.S. Senate, the federal government is preparing to wage an all-out assault on your pocketbook through a proposed federal law which will permit states to increase the price tag for virtually all of your online purchases.
Read this dire warning from Americans for Prosperity which is being echoed by online retailers like Amazon and eBay who are urgently alerting their customers of the new government malfeasance known as the Streamlined Sales and Use Tax Agreement (SSUTA):
"On the heels of tax day, the next piece of legislation on the Senate floor will be one that allows states to tax businesses that aren't even within their borders. This bill would allow states to tax online sales from companies in other states, shifting the tax collection burden onto out-of-state businesses. It's a bad, convoluted policy and one free market advocates should oppose.
Even the Supreme Court has ruled that states can't tax companies that aren't located in their borders and don't have a sufficient nexus (such as a distribution center). The cost of complying with the Internet sales tax would be an enormous burden on businesses, especially small businesses.
To make matters worse, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid is fast-tracking the bill to the Senate floor in order to limit debate. Senators haven't even held a committee hearing yet. Bills of this magnitude should go through to the normal committee process—not rushed to the Senate floor."
The Hawaii Republican Assembly (HIRA) is completely against this proposed online sales tax law, which is nothing more than a money grab by Senate Democrats and the impotent and incompetent Obama Administration.
The new sales tax law, if approved, will adversely impact overtaxed Hawaii residents in our ongoing battle against high prices, high taxes, and wasteful government spending.
According to the Weekly Standard, President Obama came out in full support of a measure by endorsing the internet sales tax.
So, PLEASE CONTACT each of our Hawaii's U.S. Senators right away. Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz must hear from you right away so they know you are watching.

Fighting liberal Democrat policies in Hawaii requires strength in numbers.
