A MESSAGE FROM TMT OPPONENT S. KALEOOKALANI ISHIBASHI
From FreeHawaii.Blogspot.com, Oct 12, 2020
With all that is needed in the Lāhui we should not IMO simplify a candidate's worth for our Lāhui based on his/her stance on a single issue.
First of all, I stood against TMT and will continue to do so. So I’m not just trying to back up a supporter.
Now, as we consider all that is needed to build a Nation we need to support the guys that do what they do best.
A guy who fought against TMT 100% may have failed a psychological eval or all the basic courses in high school. Is he now worthy to represent us just because he opposed TMT? Of course not, same on the other hand.
There may be someone that supports TMT but he may have a passion for and be the world leading expert on addressing homelessness for Hawaiians.
Let’s not place so much emphasis in judging the character of a person based on one element of his mana’o.
The mentality to judge someone completely based on one stance or one political perspective is woefully ignorant.
Measure the whole character of an individual before placing judgement is the smartest way to go.
Study fully the people you plan to support.
E ho’oakamai kakou!
