The FBI has been seeking the cell phone of Katherine Kealoha’s boyfriend’s attorney, Chris Woo, since July, 2019.
The phone may still be missing, but Hawai’i Free Press has located Chris Woo’s cell phone number—advertising ‘BBBJ’ and ‘Nuru’ at a Century Center massage parlor.
Akamai readers will remember that just a few days after receiving a subpoena for his cell phone and laptop, Woo reported them ‘stolen’. According to Woo, the ‘thefts’ occurred after he invited a bunch of criminals over to a ‘party’ at his house.
HNN July 16, 2018, describes the scene:
Woo is blaming a former roommate, a 35-year old man, and the man's 23-year-old girlfriend, for the theft of his phone and laptop, saying he was hosting a party on July 8, when he saw the woman leave with his cellphone.
Woo said he went after her, and that's when the the former roommate and several other men, who he did not know, took off with his laptop....
According to (boyfriend Jeff) Ebersole, Mrs. Kealoha arranged for Woo to be his attorney at the grand jury. Ebersole also told the judge, that Mrs. Kealoha coached him on how to lie about their romantic relationship and that the coaching session happened at Woo's office and home.
A handgun registered to Woo turned up, pointed at an HPD officer by convicted felon Freddie Joe Whitmore, during a September 22, 2019, raid on the 22nd floor of Century Center. Whitmore was shot multiple times and died at the hospital. Woo had not reported the gun stolen.
At least one federal court document ties Woo to an apartment on the 21st floor of Century Center. Woo claims to have been kidnapped in April, 2019, from the Century Center apartment by an ex-‘girlfriend’ and former client.
The Century Center condos at 1750 Kalakaua Ave are home to dozens of massage parlors. Woo’s cell phone number has been used in Century Center massage parlor ads since at least November 24, 2019. (UPDATE: September 11, 2019.) The number was previously used to advertise Woo’s law practice. Woo’s law license was suspended by order of the Hawaii Supreme Court, October 18, 2019. Woo was arrested on a check forgery charge in late October, 2019.
A female answering the phone did not seem to understand a reporter requesting to speak to Chris Woo. She kept asking, “You want masagee?”
Alleged ‘Johns’ posting in an online forum say the massage parlor is on the 7th floor. They do not seem to be impressed with the quality of ‘service’.
With the Feds in town, crooked HPD officers and others who normally tip off mamasan may be laying low. As a result prosecutors staged several successful raids during 2019.
Woo for years represented land-lease tenants of the Ebbtide Hotel attempting to resist efforts by the land-owning Fullard-Leo family to retake control of their property.
As explained, Ebbtide Waikiki: Fullard-Leo Family Fights Pimps for Control of Hotel (literally):
The latest step in a seven-year battle to regain control of their property after expiration of a ground lease, Marcus Fullard-Leo, whose family owns the ground under the rundown Ebbtide Hotel in Waikiki, and many other Hawaii properties, filed the following ‘declaration’ in case 1CC121003090 on Wednesday, July 31, 2019.
Five days later, convicted pimp Quadralis Watson, who, according to the HPD blotter, was living at a Kuhio Ave address next door to Ebbtide, was arrested for a Manoa armed robbery in a vehicle driven by former death-row inmate Isaiah McCoy, who was brought to Hawaii by UH Law School professor Ken Lawson. In addition, a female, also living at the same Kuhio Ave address, was pulled from the vehicle and arrested after allegedly being caught using a credit card stolen during the Manoa robbery.
Here are some excerpts from the declaration, describing events at the Ebbtide Hotel from June 24, 2019 up to a July 22, 2019 'melee' between members of the Fullard-Leo family and 20 pimps and drug dealers….
Lawson sponsored a January 28, 2020, debate for Honolulu prosecutor candidates at UH Manoa Law School. Most candidates pandered to Lawson’s soft-on-crime stance as explained here: “Honolulu Prosecutor Debate: Only Megan Kau Pledges to Keep Criminal Suspects Locked up.”
