We are ALL Mauna Kea
Aloha,
The American Astronomical Society (AAS) is having their semi-annual conference at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center, January 4-8th. Thousands of astronomers from all over the world will be there. Let's use this opportunity to show our support for astronomy in Hawaiʻi! Imua TMT has organized a rally outside the convention center to welcome the astronomers to Hawaiʻi.
The AAS has also organized a series of free public events. One of these events is a public talk, Physic of Pō, a presentation on the connections between the Kumulipo and astronomy theories on the origins of the Universe (limited seating so register now).

Imua TMT is having a guided discussion this upcoming Saturday, 1/11 2 pm, in Waianae at the Nanakuli Public Library!
The discussion will be facilitated by two Native Hawaiian Astrophysicists, Makana Silva and Tyler Trent. The discussion will be a place for respectful dialogue on topics concerning culture, science and sacred.

Mahalo, and Imua TMT!

Imua TMT is a group that is doing a great job at organizing our voices to be a unified, resounding voice. Founded by Malia Martin and run by Executive Director Samuel Wilder King II, both passionate Native Hawaiian supporters of TMT, Imua TMT has been fundraising, running ads promoting TMT, encouraging people to sign our petition, visiting Mauna Kea to dialogue with the protesters, holding panel discussions about the project, and getting the word out to the media that TMT does have supporters in Hawaii, including Native Hawaiians.
Below are some links to their online shop, calendar of events and donation link to support their mission of getting the TMT built here in Hawaii.
