$15 Minimum Wage Differential for City & County of Honolulu Employees Ratified
News Release from HGEA, July 23, 2019
A supplemental agreement pilot project that provides a wage differential for City & County of Honolulu employees to make $15 an hour was overwhelmingly ratified by the affected HGEA members.
The differential is effective July 1, 2019, however implementation is expected to take several months. Retroactive pay will be provided.
This agreement between HGEA and the employer ensures that all City & County of Honolulu employees make at least $15 an hour. This is a step in the right direction as we continue to work toward gaining a living wage for all workers.
