Akina urges Perry to not give up hope that Hawaii can change
From Grassroot Institute, May 30, 2019
It seems like there's a new report released every day showing yet another problem in Hawaii. But if people speak out and let policymakers know that taxes should be lowered and barriers to economic freedom removed, things could change.
That's what Keli'i Akina, president of the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii, told KSSK radio host Michael W. Perry on Friday, May 24, during his appearance on the popular "Perry & the Posse" show.
Perry expressed doubt that things will ever change in Hawaii.
"I live in hope that people will speak up, but we keep electing the same people over and over, and they keep doing the same thing," Perry said. "And that's why our homeless problem never gets solved; none of our problems ever get solved, do they?"
Akina reassured Perry: "You know, Michael, I'm not giving up hope. I think that if we get ourselves educated, talk to our public politicians, we're going to see some results."
