SENATOR HIRONO NEEDS TO APOLOGIZE TO HAWAI'I VOTERS AND AG BARR!
News Release from Honolulu Republican Party, May 3, 2019
Honolulu, Hawai'i -- Honolulu County Republican Party Chairman Brett Kulbis today called on Senator Mazie Hirono for an immediate apology to the voters of Hawaii that put her in office and Attorney General William Barr, for what Kulbis characterized as "Hirono's despicable conduct" during the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee's hearing on the Mueller report.
Kulbis said, “Senator Hirono’s conduct, slanderous remarks, and outright poisonous hatred for AG Barr, does not in any shape or fashion represent the voters of Hawaii or our Aloha Spirit.”
“Senator Hirono predictably demonstrates a clear pattern of malicious and abhorrent behavior towards anyone and everyone associated with President Trump,” stated Kulbis. “Voters should not forget that it was only eight short months ago that Senator Hirono acted in the same hateful manner during the Justice Brett Kavanaugh confirmation hearing, accusing him of lying.”
Senator Hirono’s conduct was so bad at this week's hearings that even Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham had to cut her off, stating: "You slandered this man from top to bottom, so if you want more of this you're not going to get it.”
Chairman Kulbis also called on O’ahu County Democrat Chairman Rich Halverson to publicly admonish Senator Hirono stating, "Democrat leaders should publicly denounce Senator Hirono’s actions and comments immediately. She is rapidly becoming an embarrassment to our state and we don't need or deserve this type of national attention."
