A “Massive Farm Auction” on Kauai has anti-dairy activists buzzing.
Now that the anti-dairy movement he created has destroyed the state’s number one dairy producer at Ookala on the Big Island, is luxury resort developer Pierre Omidyar liquidating equipment from his putative Hawaii Dairy Farms?
From Oahu Auctions:

In an email to supporters, January 24, 2019, Bridget Hammerquist, President of the pro-tourism, anti-dairy, Friends of Maha’ulepu exults:
Looks like Hawaii Dairy Farms is selling it all! "Massive Kauai Farm Auction". We called the auction house and learned that the farm equipment is in Koloa. You know the old saying, "a picture is worth a thousand words", well enjoy the photos in the above link. A white truck is even one of the auction items. If you go to the item and view the photos, you can enlarge of photo that shows a bumper sticker on the back of the truck that reads, "Pull For Milk." There are photos that show the ocean and the Haupu Ridge line in Maha`ulepu. While HDF has not formally announced the end of their planned industrial dairy for Maha`ulepu, we expect it will come within days if not hours….
We were fortunate to be asked to help the people living in O`okala on the Big Island. When they contacted us, they genuinely hoped to spare us from their plight: odors that woke them at night, kept them from wanting to cook or eat at home, made their noses and throats burn, increased respiratory illnesses, skin infections from biting flies and a massive contamination of their coastline among other issues. They didn't know where to begin and they found our website and knew we had received a favorable ruling from the Federal Court in our Clean Water Act case. They asked if we could help them and come to the Big Island to meet with the residents of O`okala and we did. By helping them test the water that ran through the 2 streams coming from the dairy to O`okala, getting those results of serious fecal bacteria to the Department of Health, asking for and receiving invaluable help from Oahu environmentalist Carroll Cox, who assisted by photographing and documenting the runoff from the dairy to the ocean, and than referring them to FOM's lawyer, Charlie Tebbutt, FOM was instrumental in the closure of Big Island Dairy….
In addition to spawning anti-dairy activism, Omidyar’s Kauai dairy proposal created a political and perhaps legal precedent requiring previously exempt farmers to obtain an environmental impact statement before commencing operations. This will go far towards preventing revitalization of the dairy industry in Hawaii. Tourism and its pet enviro-activists are destroying everything they think might interfere with their image of what Hawaii should be.
