City sets Primary Urban Center Development Plan Vision Forum
News Release from City and County of Honolulu, Oct 31, 2018
The Department of Planning and Permitting will hold a Primary Urban Center (PUC) Development Plan Update Vision Forum from 6:30-8:30 p.m., Nov. 7, in the McKinley High School’s Hirata Hall, 1039 South King St.
The forum is a culmination of a series of stakeholder, public outreach, and research activities conducted over the past year to inform the public and gather input in preparing the update of the PUC Development Plan. A public review draft is expected to be published later next year.
The PUC Development Plan guides the projected growth, development and public investments for the area from Pearl City to Kāhala. It is one of eight regional plans for O‘ahu and covers the most populous and urban area of the island. Key issues of the PUC Development Plan that will be discussed at the forum include transit-oriented development, affordable housing policies, watershed management, and climate change and sea level rise.
For more information on the plan, see www.pucdp.com.
