MONSANTO EARNS THE 2017 HAWAII’S BEST WORKPLACE, LARGE CATEGORY AWARD FROM PACIFIC BUSINESS NEWS

From MosantoHawaii.com, November 20, 2017

Monsanto has been named the 2017 Hawaii’s Best Workplace in the large, 100 plus employees category, by Pacific Business News. Every year, Pacific Business News honors local companies for their workplace excellence. This year, 125 companies were nominated and of the seven organizations that made the large category list of finalists, Monsanto took first place, scoring an impressive 91.6 percent.

“As a proud member of Hawaii’s agriculture community for 50 years, we are honored to receive this recognition,” said Dan Clegg, Hawaii business operations lead for Monsanto Hawaii. “Congratulations to all of our Monsanto employees across Hawaii. Our success as a company is a reflection of their hard work and dedication.”

Monsanto provides competitive rewards and benefits to attract and retain the best talent and foster a sense of ownership in the company. By offering highly competitive benefits, including flexible health and retirement packages, employees can choose the benefits that best fit their needs. Monsanto also offers personal development assistance, THRIVE for life (a wellness program that offers monetary rewards for meeting well-being goals), an employee bonus program, tuition reimbursement for continuing education, auto and homeowners/renters insurance, adoption assistance, a generous vacation schedule, and unique family-friendly programs to help employees keep the right balance of work and family life.

Monsanto Hawaii employs approximately 800 residents statewide, including full-time employees and seasonal workers. Many of the jobs that Monsanto Hawaii offers are well paying positions that provide opportunities for local college graduates to remain in Hawaii and pursue meaningful careers.

Pacific Business News partnered with Quantum Workforce, a national research firm, who collected and analyzed data from workers throughout Hawaii. Winners and finalists were determined based on the results of a confidential employee survey.

In addition, Monsanto Company was recently recognized by Science Magazine as one of the world’s top science employers, ranking No. 18 on its 2017 Science and Science Careers’ Annual Top Employer Survey. This is the 11th consecutive year that Monsanto has made the list.
