Assisted Suicide Bill Passes First Committee

The Senate Committee on Commerce, Consumer Protection & Health passed the assisted suicide (SB1129) out of committee on February 15, 2017. The committee amended the bill.
The votes were as follows: 6 (yes) - 1 (excused)
- In SUPPORT: Senator(s) Baker, Nishihara, S. Chang, Ihara, Kidani, Ruderman;
- 1 Excused: Senator(s) Espero.
The bill will now move to the Senate Judiciary & Labor Committee. We will keep you posted when the new version of the bill is made available to the public with talking points specific to the new version.
