Office of Economic Development 2017 Grant Program accepting RFPs

Honolulu – The Mayor’s Office of Economic Development (OED) is requesting proposals for the 2017 Grant Program. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, December 16, 2016 at 4 p.m. Hawaiʻi Standard Time (HST).

OED is requesting proposals from community groups seeking support for projects that stimulate economic opportunities, strengthen the unique character of Oʻahu’s diverse ethnic communities, and improve the quality of life for our residents.
Office of Economic Development grants are awarded to organizations located in the City and County of Honolulu that are registered as a non-profits in the State of Hawai‘i. These grants are intended to benefit people on the Island of Oʻahu by supporting activities that promote diversity and growth of the island’s economy. Grant support is intended for partial funding of a project as a means of encouraging collaboration with the community and local businesses. Applicants may request an award of no more than $15,000.
